It makes you wonder how they got there if no one really likes them. (A little like war, now that I think of it. No one likes it, yet we are always having one).

Lovely skies. I don't like the reality of urban living either, but the skies are still beautiful and colorful and you caught a lovely shot!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great weekend!

SylviaSylvia Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484577678585907669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343122535318547716.post-12639592629550700342009-12-18T10:39:42.436-08:002009-12-18T10:39:42.436-08:00These are great pictures :)These are great pictures :)Serendipityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03436548412774160040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343122535318547716.post-67898741727753472162009-12-18T10:08:13.084-08:002009-12-18T10:08:13.084-08:00And, Kawks, what the hell kind of comment is that?...And, Kawks, what the hell kind of comment is that? I see these pictures perhaps ironically--but not even in my most cynical moments do I find them all that amusing. My grandfather managed the LADPW power plant at Cottonwood until he died, and I learned when I was very small to see through and around the aqueduct and the power lines, and to hear through the noise of the plant. I would dearly love to be able to live in a place where I'd be able to see nothing but nature. Even rooftops get in the way for me, and I have to "see through" those as well.Owlfarmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15373358232893937182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343122535318547716.post-48773038802614577422009-12-18T09:40:14.150-08:002009-12-18T09:40:14.150-08:00For me, the beauty of the sky does little to softe...For me, the beauty of the sky does little to soften the intrusion of the power lines. Strange, given all the years I lived at the power plant.
I can appreciate a beautiful building but quickly retreat to my home where I can view the natural world and only rooftops intrude on my view across the Sacramento Valley to the coast range. Better yet is the summer when I can retreat to the Sierra.Martha Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15797951661712327698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343122535318547716.post-43433444174094877612009-12-18T09:09:51.045-08:002009-12-18T09:09:51.045-08:00OMGOMGOMG GREAT PIC LOL!OMGOMGOMG GREAT PIC LOL!Kawks!https://www.blogger.com/profile/08912009796289933717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343122535318547716.post-15604643347240252022009-12-18T08:50:30.984-08:002009-12-18T08:50:30.984-08:00The ugliest things we can make can be transformed ...The ugliest things we can make can be transformed or overcome by nature.
