Last week fellow Skywatchers from the U. S. Northwest were posting lovely shots of the transition from fog to full sun. Occasionally, north Texas "inherits" weather that drifts down our way and we end up with similar meteorological conditions.
Such was the case last week, when I got the opening shot of a pretty, cloudy sunset, followed by fog the next morning, and then bright, late-afternoon sun on trees against a clear blue sky. This time I had the real camera handy (the Nikon D80).
The class went pretty well last Friday, by the way; thanks for the well-wishing! Have a calm, restful weekend--especially my colleagues who all seem to be dazed by how fast this quarter is going already (and we're only in the second week of eleven).

The clouds in that first photo look like pink cotton candy! I love it! And the late day sun on the branch in the last shot! Usually, I would go for the fog in the middle photo, but I have been seeing so much grey these past few weeks that I will choose the sunshine!!
Gorgeous captures! The first one is is my favorite because I have this "thing" about bare trees etched against the sky! Love the soft colors and the shapes of the clouds, but the other two are marvelous as well! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Thank you for your kind comments! I forget the details, but the original Parliament buildings were destroyed by fire, all except the Library, about 1916, and the Peace Tower got its name from the end of the Great War.
Lovely captures, all. The foggy photo is dramatic and I really like the sun glancing off the bare branches in the last.
(I now have the song 'What a difference a day made (makes)' going through my head - thank you ;-)
Great skies!
Beautiful captures here.
Nice photos but the first one with the pink clouds is perfect!
Beautiful sky photo :)
I'm lovin' that first photo... those pink clouds are just gorgeous! Didn't realize some of our fog drifted down your way... sorry 'bout that! LOL
Nice photos Candace, all different but all nice skies.
I think I like the top one the best :)
Oh, I like all three. The foggy scene really pulls me right in though! Thanks for stopping by at my SWF post.
Your colours captured in your SkyWatch entry this week is absolutely stunning. Congrats~
